A story about curiosity, stronger evidence, everyday action and the possibilities we can build together.
The story behind Youtopia →“Curious enough to investigate. Rigorous enough to question. Independent enough to change our minds.”
We don't assume something is true because it is popular, and we don't assume it is false because it isn't. We trace claims to their sources, look for independent evidence and conflicts, explain uncertainty, and keep digging when a question deserves it. We don't tell you what to think. We give you more to think with.
Colossal’s film introduces Romulus and Remus. The company made 20 targeted edits to grey wolf cells, guided partly by ancient dire wolf DNA, to produce animals with selected extinct traits. It calls this de-extinction; other researchers dispute that the extinct species has been restored.
How Colossal describes the work ↗Trend Scout trail: Colossal CEO Ben Lamm's recent conversation with Joe Rogan is a useful long-form companion to the project. Youtopia treats the conversation as a discovery source and the genetics literature and independent scientific commentary as the evidence layer.
